As an art illusionist I paint with fabric, although my process uses no paint. Through the texture, designs and colored material I create images inspired by urban and natural forms. I see the fabric as though it were life, the many textures within us, and the many colors of our personality.
I studied drawing at the Art Institute of New York and painting at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Graduating with a BFA degree, I was honored with the Bocour Prize in Painting Award.
Presently, I reside in Easton, PA and have shown at Ahlum Gallery, where I spent two years as Gallery Director, Sigal Museum Gallery, St. Johns Gallery, the Bethlehem Rotunda Gallery and at the Allentown Art Museum show Cocktails and Collecting. I’ve also created several commissioned works. In 1991 my work was published in a book about textile artists, Textile Designs Ideas and Applications by Joel Sokolov.
